City shares results of official review of April 2023 municipal election complaint

The City Attorney’s Office completed a review on Tuesday, Nov. 14 of a complaint it received on Sept. 29, 2023 with various allegations related to the general municipal election on April 4, 2023. The investigation did not establish reasonable grounds for a violation of the City Code or the Colorado Municipal Election Code or to initiate enforcement action in Municipal Court. 

35th Annual Toy Drive

The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is again teaming up with Toys for Tots to ensure no family is left without holiday gifts this year. Toys for Tots donation boxes are located at our police substations and the Police Operations Center. Donate new, unwrapped gifts for kids and teens until December 18.

Mayor calls on future civic leaders to participate in fellowship to see the inner working of City government

Mayor Yemi Mobolade is calling on Colorado Springs residents interested in being civic leaders to apply for an opportunity to learn firsthand with how their city government operates. The Mayor’s Civic Leaders Fellowship, designed to introduce future civic leaders in Colorado Springs to the inner workings of their local government with an emphasis on productive discourse in leadership, is accepting applications till Nov. 30.

Law Enforcement Transparency and Advisory Commission to Hold Community Conversation

The Law Enforcement Transparency and Advisory Commission (LETAC) invites the public to a community conversation about public safety, Colorado Springs Police Department, concerns, and priorities of the commission. The Community Conversation will be on Thursday, November 16 from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. at Hillside Community Center

City offers free “Renters Rights 101” workshop

The City of Colorado Springs invites residents to attend its free “Renter Rights 101,” an informational session on Tuesday, Nov. 14 from 6-8 p.m., either in person or virtually. Participants learn about a wide variety of topics such as lease basics, reasonable accommodations and modifications, deposits, repairs, eviction, and updates on recent Colorado legislation on housing matters.
