Update
On Tuesday, November 8, 2022, the El Paso County Coroner’s Office completed the autopsy of the deceased male victim, who has been identified as 45-year-old Ricky Keiser, a resident of Colorado Springs, Colorado. While the Coroner’s Office will determine the cause and manner of death, Mr. Keiser’s death is being investigated as a homicide. At this time, no arrests have been made and the investigation is on-going
Mr. Keiser’s death is the 42nd homicide investigation in the City of Colorado Springs in 2022. The Colorado Springs Police Department investigated 36 homicides this time last year.

On Monday, November 7, 2022, at approximately 3:06 a.m., the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) Communication Center received a call for service regarding a possible dead body near S Union Boulevard and the MLK Bypass. Officers responded to the area and located a deceased adult male. Based on the obvious trauma and external injuries, detectives from the Homicide/Assault Unit responded and assumed responsibility of the investigation.
