On Sunday, June 19, 2022 at approximately 10:49 pm, Officers with the Colorado Springs Police Department were dispatched to the 1800 Block of Monterrey Road for a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medical personnel arrived and provided aide however the victim succumbed to his injuries. Multiple individuals were contacted on scene by patrol officers during the investigation. Violent Crimes Detectives responded and assumed responsibility for the investigation. There is no threat to the community.
