On Friday 2/04/22 at approximately 8:30 AM, officers from the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) Sand Creek Division were dispatched to an armed robbery call for service at the Liberty Tax business located at 521 South Circle Drive. Responding officers learned that business employees were robbed at gunpoint by multiple suspects, who fled the area with an undisclosed amount of money prior to police arrival.

On Wednesday 3/02/22 at approximately 8:15 AM, officers from the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) Falcon Division were dispatched to an armed robbery call for service at the Ace Cash Express business located at 3014 North Nevada Avenue. Responding officers learned that multiple suspects attempted to enter the business while armed with firearms. The suspects did not gain access to the business and fled the scene prior to police arrival.

On Wednesday 3/02/22 at approximately 9:30 AM, officers from the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) Sand Creek division were dispatched to an armed robbery call for service at the US Bank located at 2308 East Pikes Peak Avenue. Responding officers learned that multiple suspects committed an armed robbery at the ATM outside this business. The suspects fled in multiple vehicles with an undisclosed amount of money prior to police arrival on scene.

No injuries were reported by victims in any of the above crimes. The CSPD Robbery Unit assumed all three investigations and determined they were committed by the same group of individuals. In the ensuing months Robbery Unit detectives conducted an in-depth investigation and on 7/29/22 obtained arrest warrants for 20-year-old Colorado Springs resident Isaiah Blaze Juvera, and 20-year-old Fountain resident Jahiddi Ucef Williams. Both suspects were charged with one count each of second-degree kidnapping, aggravated robbery, and attempted aggravated robbery.

 

On 8/2/22 the CSPD Tactical Enforcement Unit, along with the Robbery Unit, and the Strategic Investigations Unit took both suspects into custody. Multiple vehicles and residences were searched, and two firearms as well as other items of evidence were recovered.
