About

The Deerfield Hills Community Center continues its tradition of offering a positive and safe environment for children of all ages. The wide array of program opportunities and community services, along with a dynamic center staff, make this a well-utilized neighborhood resource. Deerfield Hills offers a variety of summer activities. Check out the Sprayground to stay cool during the summer months.

• Open to all adults/seniors
• Various exercise and movement activities each week, followed by a walk (weather permitting)

April 25, 2025-Mobile Food Pantry

• 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
• Open to everyone, drive though food distribution requires appointment.

April 28, 2025- Limitless Littles

• 10:00-11:00 a.m.
• Empowering children through hands on exposure to women in different professions. Meet Officer Vannessa with the CS Police Department. 

April 30, 2025-Adults on the Go!

• Free and open to all adults
• Join us as we travel to Meadows Park Community Center for Bingo!
• Transportation provided from Deerfield Hills to Meadows Park Community Center.

April 30, 2025-Cooking Matters

• 6:00-8:00 p.m.
• Making Recipes Work for You! Learn how to substitute ingredients in recipes and share meal ideas for your whole family’s enjoyment.
• Family friendly cooking class. All children must be accompanied by an adult. All supplies provided.

May 7, 2025-Artsy Adults

• 10:00-12:00 p.m.
• Open to all adults/seniors.  Various arts and craft activities, all supplies provided.  All skill levels welcome.

May 8, 2025-Humane Society’s Wellness Waggin’

• 9:00-4:30 p.m.
• Various vaccinations (several FREE vaccinations, thanks to Petco Love), microchipping and Pet licenses available for purchase.

May 20, 2025-Community Playgroup

• 10:00-11:00 a.m.
• For youth 0-5 with a caregiver.  Nature play, exploration, and activities.
• Cooking Matters will be joining us this month to teach us how to make homemade baby food.

May 21, 2025-Artsy Adults

• Open to all adults/seniors.  Various arts and craft activities, all supplies provided.  All skill levels welcome.

May 28, 2025-Cooking Matters

• 6:00-8:00 p.m.
• The Family Kitchen. Hosted by Care and Share Food Bank. Learn to work together with kids in your care to discuss safe, age-appropriate tasks for kids in the kitchen, practice prepping meals or snacks with child-friendly steps, and make healthy meals and snacks that everyone will enjoy. Family friendly cooking class, all supplies provided.
