Welcome to the City Attorney's Office - Prosecution Division. If you are an Attorney of Record or a Defendant in an open or pending Municipal Court Case, you may request discovery for your case with the form below. Discovery requests will be processed as soon as practicable. Please allow 7-10 business days for processing your request. Discovery can be provided electronically, by US Mail, or picked up in person at the City Attorney’s Office.
FBI and CBI policy on criminal history secondary dissemination:
The discovery you receive may contain criminal history record information obtained through the Colorado Bureau of Investigation. State and Federal laws govern the use of criminal history information. Pursuant to FBI and CBI policies, a signature is required from anyone legally entitled to receive such information. Additionally, FBI and CBI policies state that criminal history information is to be used for the purposes of this case only and that the document should be shredded prior to disposal.
Discovery Electronic Delivery
The City Attorney’s Office – Prosecution Division will provide electronic discovery through ShareFile. When Private Attorneys, Court Appointment Counsel, or Defendants submit a request for discovery, they will receive an email from ShareFile requesting they setup a user account and advising them that discovery is ready for download.
After submitting your request, please make sure to check any “junk” or “spam” folders on the email you provide. Occasionally, our responses are moved to these folders.
Please contact the Prosecution Division at 719-385-5925 if you have any issues with opening discovery or playing videos. While we cannot assist with IT related issues, we can ensure the files are working correctly or set up a different method of delivery or review.

The City Attorney’s Office - Prosecution Division does not process cases or discovery for El Paso County Combined Courts. For County Court Discovery, please go through the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s office located here:
The City Attorney’s Office – Prosecution Division will only provide discovery in response to a proper request. We will not provide discovery outside of this request system to ensure all document sharing is recorded and completed. You may only request discovery for a matter if you are the defendant or the attorney of record on a matter.
