Current Traffic Impacts

Fall 2025 Road Closures and Detours

  • Monday Dec. 8: Las Vegas Street will have a slight new alignment on the new temporary pavement due to road restriping, flagging and traffic control operations will be in effect.
  • Hancock Expressway is currently experiencing right lane closures as new traffic light signals are being installed at the Leon Young Service Center intersection.
  • The Las Vegas Royer Railroad Relocation project is now in Phase 2. Traffic has been shifted to temporary pavement while crews raise East Las Vegas Street to connect with the future Twin Bridges Road. Currently, both lanes will stay open on the temporary pavement.

The Las Vegas/Royer Railroad Crossing Relocation Project involves construction of a new railroad crossing and roadway to replace the existing Royer Street railroad crossing.

  • A new street, Twin Bridges Road, will be built under US Highway 24, connecting Las Vegas Street to the Hancock Expressway.
  • Upon completion, the existing Royer Street railroad crossing will be removed and a cul-de-sac will be constructed north of the railroad.
